ASE CIVIL 2006 UPDATE

Current Update: February 2008

The “ASE 2006 Update – Readme.doc” included in the ZIP file contains the latest information regarding this update. It is strongly recommended that you read the entire document.  If you are the system administrator at your company in charge of applying the update to your network version of ASE, please forward this document to all authorized users.

Prior to installation, you must know if you are updating a workstation version or a network version of ASE.  If you do not know which version you are currently using, go to ASE Tools > Information > About ASE… and read the “Application Info” section.

INSTALLATION

  1. Download the ZIP file at the bottom of this page and save it to your desktop or some other convenient location.
  2. Open the ZIP file and double-click on “Setup.exe”.
  3. Install the update to the current working installation folder.
    1. For a workstation version, this will most likely be “C:\ASE-Software.”
    2. For a network version, it will be “<network drive>:\ASE-Software.”
  4. Start a new drawing or open an existing one.

All program repairs and/or enhancements will be applied automatically when ASE Civil is initialized.

NOTES

  • **IMPORTANT**: Clients using the network version please note that updates should only be installed in the CENTRAL ASE-SOFTWARE INSTALL FOLDER ON THE NETWORK and NOT on the individual workstations.
  • Repairs and/or enhancements present in the current update cannot be applied to drawings which are open at the time the update was installed.
  • If you previously received a beta version of this update, this latest distribution now supersedes it.  This update should now be installed on top of the beta version.
  • Hotfixes are no longer used by ASE Civil.  Any existing HotFixes should be permanently deleted and should not be present in the AutoCAD Startup Suite.  Using or loading any previous HotFixes will cause execution errors and unpredictable program failure.
