Products - ASE Civil

OVERVIEW
ASE (Automation Software for Engineers) Civil design software provides engineering firms with tools that were specifically developed to make grading/paving design and production for subdivisions and commercial sites much more efficient. A completely integrated group of functions work together inside AutoCAD with Land Desktop to manage vertical design information and allow the latest design data to be shared with all team members for real-time, hands-free, automated production, labeling and updating. ASE Civil’s powerful design data management capabilities and rapid production tools allow designers and engineers to focus on the overall design intent, management and standards compliance without the need for calculation checking of detailed vertical design data or the associated output.

"I really like using this program not only is it a time saver but it also makes it easier for a team to have identical and uniform profiles throughout a project regardless how many team members work on the profiles. " - Tiffany, CAD Technician

BENEFITS OF USING ASE CIVIL:

  1. Increase production speed through automation of repetitive tasks
  2. Eliminate human errors by minimizing “manual” CAD drafting and design calculations
  3. Streamline software implementation by focusing only on useful functionality
  4. Reduce the impact of design changes using efficient data management techniques
  5. Standardize output (Promotes consistency, team member interchangeability)
  6. Optimize human resources. Shift technical focus from design & production to quality control of output
  7. Minimize personnel requirements
  8. Minimize development costs and pass savings on to the client
  9. Maximize profits
  10. Eliminate missed deadlines

" …It is a significant time-saver…" - Matt, CAD Manager

ALIGNMENTS
ASE Civil road alignments can be defined automatically throughout a site in seconds. Alignments may be reversed, re-calculated or re-named without the need for re-definition. Generate dynamic, range-controlled stationing instantly in any desired output format or automatically upload ASE Civil alignment definitions to the LDD database.

3-D ROAD MODELING [View Demo]
ASE Civil gives designers of all skill levels the ability to automatically generate and instantly update top or datum road surface models for each alignment. Easily create finished design visualizations or earthworks models without the need to offset 3DPolylines or spend hours or days designing, sampling and outputting templates or subassemblies. ASE will model both local and divided roads with medians and can display changes in curb height, driveways and intersections, (even within vertical curves). No setup whatsoever is required to start generating models immediately during the vertical design phase. Road surface models update in real time with every design change.

“I feel real good about using this program. As you said before, after you learn the basics it is relatively simple. I am able to bring the 3D lines into Agtek and it is working great, so that is a big plus.” - Scott, Senior Project Designer

DESIGN SYSTEM
ASE Civil’s interactive design system communicates with both the designer and the Land Desktop database to control horizontal and vertical relationships of all paving features and pad definitions. Design points may be linked together into flexible or constrained groups for updating or maintaining vertical relationships as needed and self-updating flow labels and arrow indicate real-time changes to drainage patterns and street slopes.

PROFILE GENERATION
It’s speed, accuracy, flexibility, finished detail and stability is unmatched by any other software in the world! Once ASE Civil’s design system has been used to establish vertical control, complete finished road profiles can be generated and updated instantly, no matter how complex the street configuration.

"… My sincere thanks and I’m very impressed and feel fortunate … what you've created is impressive. " - D.G., CAD Technician

PROFILE DISPLAY
Auto-generated profile drawings for each alignment may be imported into the improvement sheets by using ASE Civil. Simply selecting a menu option will prompt ASE Civil to automatically generate and manage the profile XREF using an array of pre-defined VIEWPORTs for viewing the finished profiles from a LAYOUT tab. Each component of the profile may be adjusted vertically or all components may be adjusted laterally for legibility.

PRODUCTION LABELING
What makes ASE Civil so effective is the dynamic link between the design data and the finished production. Easily create a variety of flexible, customizable, self-updating plan-view paving labels by simply selecting a location for the label.

MULTI-SCALE© SYMBOLS
ASE Civil also includes a library of symbols with a unique characteristic for application and adjustability. The Multi-Scale© Symbols can be inserted into a base map which will be used as an external reference in the improvement plans or plat drawings, then the symbols can be scaled from within each individual drawing that it’s XREF’d into without re-inserting the symbol over and over.

" … We actually finished early thanks to the software … " - Hector, Office Manager

MISCELLANEOUS TOOLS
For general application support, the ASE Civil Tools menu includes various functions for managing application or project settings or querying ASE Civil data and AutoCAD object information as well as a help menu and web access from within the drawing editor.
